Descending a staircase from Praça dos Três Poderes you can find a buried space with a huge model of Brasilia, tribute to Lucio Costa, the designer of Brasilia Plan (Plano Piloto), built by Niemeyer.

Opposite than the Pantheon, this little building, supported by an unique pillar, closes the west side of Praça dos Tres Poderes square, next to the National Congress.
Niemeyer shows simple shapes on this case, but a complex structure, using a powerful cantilever.

With 52 meter height and 220 meters long, this elegant bridge links a central street Rua Marquês d'Ávila e Bolama with a residential district called Bairro dos Penedos Altos. Carrilho da Graça built a zig-zag shape that cross the valley and draw a beautiful figure, contrasting with the mountains nearby.
