When enter San Pedro Church what strikes you is the continuity of the space, achived through the lack of pillars, where the lateral and the central naves share the same area accompained by the ceiling´s variations. Only the altar, with its high skylight, and the famous brick rosette stand out in the rebuilt interior. The light plays a special role, sometimes to reinforce the fluid space, sometimes to highlight different situations, like the encounter betwen the galbe roof and the long beam.

This is a new public space located in Montevideo´s old city, and was the result of a opened contest organized by the local government. The project consists of a linear park that resolvs the space between the port and the neighboorhood.
